Rise & Shine Consulting, LLC (“we,” “our,” or “us”) takes safeguarding your privacy seriously. Please read this Privacy Policy carefully. It explains what information we collect, how we use it, and your rights regarding your data.

This Privacy Policy applies to AI Skool of Business (hosted on Skool), riseandshinebiz.com and its sub-domains, all digital products, free resources, workshops, interactive tools hosted on external platforms, and our pages and accounts on Facebook, Instagram, LinkedIn, and any other platforms (collectively, the “Sites” and “Services”).

Our Terms and Conditions are available at riseandshinebiz.com/terms and govern your use of the Sites and Services alongside this policy.

1. Who We Are

Rise & Shine Consulting, LLC is the data controller for the personal information described in this policy.

2. Information We Collect

We collect information you provide directly, including:

Name and email address (when you purchase a membership, register for a workshop, download a free resource, book a call, or sign up for our email list)
Payment information, processed securely by third-party payment processors. We do not collect or store your full card details.
Content you post inside the community, including posts, comments, and shared files
Communications you send to us directly, including email and booking form responses
Information you enter into our interactive tools, assessments, and AI-powered tools, including business details, goals, and other content you choose to provide

We also collect certain information automatically when you visit our websites, including:

IP address and browser or device information
Pages visited and time spent on the site
Referring URLs
Cookie data, where cookies and tracking technologies are in use (see Section 7)

3. How We Use Your Information

We use the information we collect to:

Provide and manage your membership, workshop access, and community access
Process payments and send receipts
Deliver digital products, free resources, workshops, and interactive tools
Provide done-for-you services and custom AI tools you have purchased
Send you emails about your membership, purchases, community updates, and relevant offers
Improve our websites, content, and offerings
Run advertising and measure its effectiveness, where advertising tools are in use
Comply with legal obligations

We collect data only for specific and specified purposes and will not use your data for purposes other than those for which it was collected, except as stated in this Privacy Policy or with your prior consent.

4. Legal Basis for Processing Your Data

Where the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR), the UK GDPR, or comparable legislation applies, we process your data only when at least one of the following applies:

You have given consent
It is necessary for the performance of a contract, such as delivering your membership, workshop, or digital product
It is necessary for compliance with a legal obligation
It is necessary to protect vital interests
It is in the legitimate interests pursued by Rise & Shine Consulting, LLC, such as improving our services and communicating with members

5. AI Tools and What Happens to What You Enter

Our Services include AI-powered tools, custom AI tools, assessments, and interactive resources. Some of these tools are built on, or connect to, third-party artificial intelligence platforms, including but not limited to OpenAI and Anthropic.

When you enter information into one of these tools, that information may be transmitted to and processed by the underlying AI provider in order to generate a response. Those providers process the data under their own terms and privacy policies, which we encourage you to review.

We do not use the content you enter into our AI tools to train our own models. We cannot control, and are not responsible for, how a third-party AI provider handles data under its own terms.

Please do not enter sensitive personal information into any of our AI tools. This includes government identification numbers, financial account numbers, health information, or confidential information belonging to a third party.

Where you use a custom AI tool we built for you inside your own account with a third-party provider, that tool operates within your account and under your agreement with that provider, and we do not have access to what you enter into it.

6. Email Communications

When you join AI Skool of Business, purchase a product, register for a workshop, or download a free resource, you may be added to email communications from Rise & Shine Consulting, LLC. These emails may include community updates, offers, educational content, and announcements.

You may unsubscribe at any time by clicking the unsubscribe link at the bottom of any email, or by contacting us at hi@riseandshinebiz.com. It may take up to 48 hours to take effect. We may still send you transactional messages relating to a purchase or your account after you unsubscribe from marketing email.

We use email service providers, including Flodesk, to manage our email lists. Your name and email address are shared with these providers solely for the purpose of sending you emails.

7. Cookies and Tracking

Our websites may use cookies and similar tracking technologies, including:

Essential cookies, required for the site to function
Advertising and analytics technologies, which may include the Meta Pixel and the Meta Conversions API (for Facebook and Instagram advertising attribution) and Google Analytics 4 (for understanding site traffic and behavior)

Not all of these technologies are active at all times. Where we use advertising or analytics technologies that are not strictly necessary, and where the law requires it, we will request your consent before those technologies load and give you a way to change your preferences.

You can also control cookies through your browser settings. Disabling certain cookies may affect your ability to use some features of the Sites.

We do not sell your personal information for money.

We may share your information with:

Service providers who help us operate our business, including payment processors, email platforms, the community platform, hosting providers, scheduling tools, and analytics tools, only as necessary to provide their services
Advertising platforms, including Meta (Facebook and Instagram), where advertising and attribution technologies are in use. Under some state privacy laws, this kind of disclosure for cross-context behavioral advertising is treated as “sharing” or “selling.” See Section 13 for how to opt out.

Skool, as the platform hosting the community
Affiliates, where an affiliate is connected to a purchase you make and the affiliate program requires it in order to verify a referral. We do not share payment information with affiliates. If you do not wish for your information to be shared with an affiliate, contact us before making a purchase. You may not be eligible for affiliate bonuses if your contact information is not provided to the relevant affiliate.
Law enforcement or regulatory bodies, if required by law
A successor entity, in connection with a merger, acquisition, or sale of all or part of our business

9. Data Retention

We retain your personal information for as long as your membership or customer relationship is active, or as needed to provide you with the Services.

If you cancel, we may retain your information for a reasonable period for legal, tax, accounting, or legitimate business purposes, generally not longer than seven years for financial records. Data is managed so that it is either erased when no longer required for its original purpose, retained where there is a legal reason to do so, or minimized and retained.

You may request deletion of your data at any time (see Section 11).

10. Security

We take reasonable measures to protect your personal information from unauthorized access, loss, or misuse. No internet transmission or storage system is completely secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.

11. Your Rights

Depending on your location, you may have the right to:

Access the personal information we hold about you
Correct inaccurate or incomplete information
Request deletion of your personal information
Opt out of marketing emails, using the unsubscribe link in any email
Opt out of targeted advertising, or of the sharing of your information for that purpose
Object to or restrict certain processing of your data
Receive a copy of your information in a portable form
Withdraw consent at any time, without detriment
Not be discriminated against for exercising any of these rights

12. For Residents of the European Economic Area and the United Kingdom

If you are located in the EEA or the UK, you have the rights described in Section 11, plus the right to be notified of our data collection practices and the purposes and lawful bases under which we process your data, the right to lodge a complaint with your local data protection authority, and the right to object to automated decision-making, including profiling.

We do not engage in automated decision-making that produces legal or similarly significant effects.

Our Services are operated from the United States. When you use the Sites and Services, your information is transferred to and processed in the United States, and may be processed by our service providers in other countries. Where required, we rely on appropriate safeguards, including the European Commission’s Standard Contractual Clauses, as implemented by our service providers.

13. For Residents of California and Other US States

Depending on your state of residence, you may have the rights described in Section 11, including the right to know what personal information we collect and how we use it, the right to request disclosure or a portable copy, the right to correct, the right to request deletion, and the right to opt out of targeted advertising and of the sale or sharing of personal information.

We do not sell your personal information for money, and we do not knowingly sell or share the personal information of anyone under 16.

Where advertising technologies such as the Meta Pixel are in use, disclosures to those platforms may qualify as “sharing” for cross-context behavioral advertising, or as a “sale,” under California and certain other state privacy laws. To opt out, email us at hi@riseandshinebiz.com with the subject line “Do Not Sell or Share My Personal Information.” You may also use a browser-based opt-out preference signal such as Global Privacy Control, which we will honor where technically feasible.

You may designate an authorized agent to make a request on your behalf. We will not discriminate against you for exercising any of these rights.

14. Children’s Privacy

The Sites and Services are not directed at anyone under 18, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from anyone under 18. If you believe we have inadvertently collected such information, contact us immediately at hi@riseandshinebiz.com and we will delete it.

15. Third-Party Links

Our websites and community may contain links to third-party websites, tools, and services. We are not responsible for the privacy practices of those third parties and encourage you to review their privacy policies before submitting any personal information.

16. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will notify you of material changes by email or by posting a notice on our website or inside the community. Your continued use of the Sites and Services after changes take effect constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
